Center hosts well known early care and education author and expert, Dr. George Forman

Dr. George E. Forman, emeritus professor at the University of Massachusetts and a well- known author in the field of early care and education, visited the Center prior to giving a keynote speech at the conference, “The Power of Play: Stretching Children’s Minds, Bodies, and Social Skills,” hosted by the South Florida Association for Young Children. 

Dr. Forman’s books have covered topics ranging from learning theories to the areas of early symbolic development to the educational value of computers. In addition to working as a research psychologist at Harvard University, internationally he has worked with the Indian government to develop participatory exhibits for young children, and with the Italian city of Reggio Emilia  to bring their educational model to prominence in the United States.
