Center welcomes resident artist for summer months

As part of the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education’s efforts to engage children in learning through the arts, multi-disciplinary artist Roberto Garrido will be leading children at the Center’s Demonstration School through a program entitled Kaleidoscope of the Arts. Mr. Garrido has worked with a number of Miami-based institutions focused on early care and education in an effort to bring light to the importance of art in the early years. Some of these institutions have included Arts for Learning, Miami Children’s Museum and Learning Experience & Performance. Kaleidoscope of the Arts is a program designed to guide children through the various periods and stages of art throughout the ages. At the close of the program, which will span the length of the summer, families will be invited to attend a Gallery Night where an exhibition of the children’s work resulting from the program will be displayed.
