Connecting Assessment with Intentional Teaching (CAIT) is a high-quality assessment training and implementation support program for early childhood educators and administrators working in center-based programs and family child care homes throughout Miami-Dade. As part of a 3-year, $1 million grant from The Children’s Trust, United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education will manage, coordinate and provide assessment training to practitioners on how to use results to improve students’ outcome and progress. CAIT will work with programs located in low-income census tracts and serving 30 percent or more children who receive school readiness subsidies. The implementation plan will provide individualized opportunities for programs.

United Way of Miami-Dade, Inc. Connecting Assessment with Intentional Teaching (CAIT) is funded by The Children’s Trust.  The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.
