The Demonstration School seeks to serve Miami-Dade County’s diverse population while providing access to high-quality early care and education. It is the School’s philosophy that diversity enriches the lives of all students and, ultimately society as a whole. The School’s student body is representative of the community’s economic and social diversity. In total, approximately 50 percent of the students pay full tuition and approximately 50 percent are fully or partially subsidized by state, federal or private funding. Each funding source has defined eligibility requirements. For example, the School has a set number of Head Start slots and the eligibility requirements for those slots are established by Head Start. Vacancies are filled in accordance with the eligibility requirements of the open slots.
