United Way of Miami-Dade invests $4.5 million to raise the quality of early care and education programs in high-need communities
In December 2014 a 5-year, $22.5 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to raise the quality of early care and education for infants and toddlers in some of Miami-Dade’s high need communities. Over the past year, the United Way Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership has offered comprehensive services to 320 children, their families and teachers in 17 early care and education centers and family childcare homes.
